Rental rules & details

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, please adhere to the following rules and regulations when renting a kayak from Widgawa Lodge: Age Requirement: -Renters must be at least 18 years old and present a valid ID at the time of rental. Rental Duration: -Rentals are available on a daily basis from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. -Late returns will incur an additional charge of $15 per hour. Safety Gear: -Life vests are provided and must be worn at all times while on the water. -It is mandatory to use the paddle provided with the rental kayak. Weather Conditions: -Kayaking is not permitted during severe weather conditions, including strong winds, thunderstorms, or heavy rain. -Widgawa Lodge reserves the right to cancel or reschedule rentals due to unsafe weather. Kayak Usage: -Only one person is allowed per single kayak. -Kayaks are to be used on Walker Lake only. Transportation to other locations is not permitted. -No standing in the kayak is allowed. Keep seated at all times for safety. Damage and Liability: -Renters are responsible for the kayak and all equipment during the rental period. -Any damage or loss of equipment will result in additional charges based on the cost of repair or replacement. -Widgawa Lodge is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or loss of personal belongings during the rental period. Cancellation Policy: -Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund. -Cancellations made within 24 hours of the rental time are non-refundable. Alcohol and Substance Use: -The consumption of alcohol or any illegal substances is strictly prohibited while using the rental kayak. -Renters found under the influence will have their rental terminated without a refund and may face legal action. Respect for Nature: -Please respect the natural environment. Do not litter, and avoid disturbing wildlife. Follow Leave No Trace principles while on the water. By renting a kayak, you agree to abide by these rules and regulations. Failure to comply may result in termination of your rental without a refund.
