Rental rules & details

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, please follow these rules and regulations when renting a Single Sit Inside Kayak from Liftlock Paddle Co: Age Requirement: -The primary renter must be at least 18 years old and present a valid ID at the time of rental. -Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the water. Rental Duration: -Kayak rentals are available daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. -All kayaks must be returned by the agreed-upon time. Late returns will incur a fee of $20 per hour. Safety Gear: -Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are provided and must be worn at all times while on the water. -Paddle leashes are recommended and are provided with each rental. Weather Conditions: -Kayaking is not permitted during severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms, high winds, or heavy rain. -Liftlock Paddle Co reserves the right to cancel or reschedule rentals due to unsafe weather. Kayak Usage: -Kayaks are to be used within the designated areas, including the Trent-Severn Liftlocks, the lazy river, and Beavermead Park beach. -No standing in the kayak is allowed. Stay seated at all times for safety. -Only one person is allowed per single kayak, unless a child or pet is riding along. Pets: -Pets are welcome but must be under control at all times. Please ensure your pet is comfortable on the water and in the kayak. Damage and Liability: -Renters are responsible for the kayak and all equipment during the rental period. -Any damage, loss, or theft of equipment will result in additional charges based on the cost of repair or replacement. -Liftlock Paddle Co is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or loss of personal belongings during the rental period. Cancellation Policy: -Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund. -Cancellations made within 24 hours of the rental time are non-refundable. Alcohol and Substance Use: -The consumption of alcohol or any illegal substances is strictly prohibited while using the rental kayak. -Renters found under the influence will have their rental terminated without a refund and may face legal action. Respect for Nature: -Please respect the natural environment. Do not litter, and avoid disturbing wildlife. -Follow Leave No Trace principles while on the water. By renting a kayak, you agree to adhere to these rules and regulations. Failure to comply may result in the termination of your rental without a refund.
