Rental rules & details

Age Requirement: Youth kayaks are designed for children aged 6-12. A parent or guardian must accompany children at all times. Safety Gear: Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) are provided and must be worn at all times while on the water. Supervision: Children must be supervised by an adult (18+) at all times. The adult must be in a nearby kayak or onshore. Weather Policy: Kayaking is not permitted during severe weather conditions. Rentals may be canceled or rescheduled due to unsafe weather. Kayak Usage: Kayaks are to be used only in designated areas (Trent-Severn Liftlocks, Beavermead Park). Children should stay within sight of their supervising adult. Damage and Liability: Parents​/​guardians are responsible for the kayak and equipment during the rental period. Any damage or loss will result in additional charges.
